I am a female filmmaker, born and raised in Turkey, and educated at the German High School of Istanbul, attended Brown University in the U.S. I worked as an investment banker at Citibank headquarters in New York for a number of years. Always conflicted between my analytical mind and creative soul, I quit my job at Citi and travelled around the world with my camera. I found myself writing fantastical stories that took place in the real world. Deciding to combine my love and passion for storytelling and photography, I attended a one year Directing program at the New York Film Academy where I created Karma, my thesis short movie.
